Access Facebook Business Manager
To integrate WhatsApp with GuruSup, you must have access to a Facebook Business Manager account.
If you don't have a Business Manager, you'll need to create one. You can do so by visiting business.facebook.com.
It's important to note that after creating a new account, some usage restrictions may apply for the first 24 hours.
Phone number requirements for WhatsApp integration
The phone number must be valid and belong to your company.
A personal phone number must not be used.
The number must be enabled to receive phone calls and text messages.
If the number is already in use on WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business, you will need to:
Delete the account linked to that number.
Uninstall the WhatsApp app from your device before starting the integration process.
Company details and legal address
To complete the WhatsApp integration with GuruSup, you will need to provide the following information:
Business Name: This name will be visible to users interacting via WhatsApp.
Legal Business Name: The officially registered name of the business.
Official Address: The registered physical address of the business.

To start the WhatsApp integration, go to Settings > Integrations in your GuruSup dashboard. Then, click the "Connect" button in the WhatsApp section.
In the next step, you'll see a window to log in to Facebook. Sign in with the Facebook account associated with your Meta Business account if you don't have one open, or click "Continue as…" if you already have one open in your browser.
Start the process by clicking "Start."

Create or select your WhatsApp Business account
If you don't have a WhatsApp Business account, create one by filling out the following fields:
Account name (internal)
Name to display to users (Company name)
Company category
To add a phone number, we have two options:
A phone number provided by Meta, but with limited access, without calls or text messages.
A phone of your own, where you can continue using the line for calls and text messages. WhatsApp will be managed through GuruSup.
💡 If the phone is currently integrated with WhatsApp, the following error message will appear.
If the phone has a WhatsApp account open, we must delete it first.
Open WhatsApp on the mobile device and go to Settings > Account > Delete account and confirm the deletion.
Wait up to 3 minutes and you can proceed again by inserting the phone.
We have completed the integration.

Is the integration with WhatsApp free?
Yes, integration is completely free and available with every plan.
Features not supported by the WhatsApp API
Currently, the WhatsApp API does not support the following features:
Audio or video calls.
WhatsApp statuses.
Message reactions.
Group messages.
Due to these technical limitations, these features cannot be managed through GuruSup. We are monitoring any official API updates, and if these features are enabled in the future, we will work to integrate them and improve the user experience.

How to unlink a WhatsApp number before integrating it
Before integrating a phone number into GuruSup, you must unlink it from any active WhatsApp account. To do so, follow these steps:
Open the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app on your device.
Go to Settings → Account.
Select the Delete my account option.
Follow the instructions to complete the account deletion.
Note: Once deleted, it may take up to 3 minutes for the number to become available for new integrations.
Delete the WhatsApp app from your mobile device.
Once the number is available, you can begin the process of adding it to WhatsApp on GuruSup.
Number connection limits on WhatsApp Business
By default, each WhatsApp Business account can be connected to two phone numbers.
If the WhatsApp Business account is verified, up to five phone numbers can be connected.
Is it possible to start a WhatsApp conversation from GuruSup?
Currently, it is not possible to start new WhatsApp conversations from GuruSup. Only incoming messages previously sent by users can be replied to.
This limitation is due to WhatsApp API policies, which restrict the initiation of conversations unless there is a previous message from the client.
