GuruSup + GitHub — Issue-to-Ticket Sync
Bridge GitHub Issues and Customer Support
When users open GitHub issues, GuruSup creates linked support tickets. When customers report bugs through support, the AI creates GitHub issues. Both sides stay in sync — developers work in GitHub, support works in GuruSup.
Key benefits
Bidirectional Issue Sync
GitHub issues create GuruSup tickets, and support-reported bugs create GitHub issues. Status changes sync both ways — close in one, it updates in the other.
Community-to-Enterprise Routing
Distinguish between community users and paying customers. Enterprise bug reports get priority routing while community issues go through normal triage.
Release Note Notifications
When a GitHub issue linked to support tickets is included in a release, GuruSup notifies all affected customers automatically. They know their bug was fixed without checking GitHub.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with private GitHub repositories?
Yes. GuruSup connects via GitHub App with configurable repository access. You choose which repos to sync — public, private, or both.
Can I map GitHub labels to ticket categories?
Yes. Create mappings between GitHub labels and GuruSup ticket categories. Issues labeled 'bug' become 'Bug Report' tickets, 'enhancement' becomes 'Feature Request,' and so on.
Does it handle GitHub Discussions too?
Yes. GitHub Discussions can also create GuruSup tickets when they contain support questions. The AI distinguishes between general discussions and actionable support requests.
