WhatsApp Cloud API

WhatsApp Cloud API is Meta's hosted solution that allows businesses to integrate WhatsApp messaging into their customer support workflows without managing their own infrastructure.

WhatsApp has over 2 billion users globally, making it the most widely used messaging platform in many markets. The Cloud API (launched in 2022) democratized business access to WhatsApp by eliminating the need for on-premises servers required by the older On-Premises API. Businesses can now send and receive messages, share media, use interactive message templates (buttons, lists, product catalogs), and build automated flows through Meta's cloud infrastructure.
